CONSERVATION SPECIALIST(S)
Steward Link® is looking for conservation specialists to assist in the creation, maintenance, and processing of conservation plans. Typical work will include working with maps, excel, forms, and helping to develop conservation plans that help our client obtain their stewardship goals. As a Conservation Specialist, you will work closely with both the client and NRCS representatives to ensure that the client is put in the best position possible to maximize their potential benefit from conservation programs.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients in a positive interpersonal manner.
- Facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for our clients.
- Create and evaluate applications with a high focus on efficiency and meeting the client’s goals.
- Work with landowners to determine the best conservation practices for their operation.
- Develop conservation plans for clients based on their individual operations.
- Maintain neat and organized data for a wide number of Conservation plans.
- Become well versed in NRCS, USDA and FSA procedures, programs, practices & enhancements.
- Ensure clients adhere to USDA compliance.
- Willingness to travel to meet with potential clients and referral partners.
Basic Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to commute and/or relocate to North Central Mississippi. The Steward Link office is located in Winona, MS.
- Ability to remain positive under pressured or stressful situations.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools, customer relationship management tools, and other related software.
- Agronomy, Forestry, Wildlife Biology or other land management expertise is preferred but not required.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
